General Description
Physical Description
A rather unassuming Snow Elven ruler, he stood at 5 feet tall and was not broad shouldered like a knight, nor tall as an archer. Alsorin was much skinner than previous Glaciers and had the aura of a librarian, over a king.
He had for many years a boyish look about him, something that made him very popular with the ladies of the court, with Glacier green eyes, his long silver hair meant any she elf wanted to be his queen. However, as he grew older he cut his hair shorter and begun to grow a beard.
Personality
A king who was unlike the previous two great warriors, his council worried about whether he would be accepted as king. However Alsorin built a strong council around him and made it clear as king he would listen to all advice, in addition his steward was a strong and capable warrio and by marrying Rilitar.

After the death of High king Erthad Glacier, he and his heirs were buried in the city, on the grounds of the royal palace. However, During the early stage of Alsorins reign, two Leonin smugglers would attempt to rob the graves in the middle of the night.
Furious at the disrespect he would fund the construction of a new city, Noirinan, where he planned to turn this fishing village into a town where the royal family could be laid to rest.
Reforms to the Empire:
High King Alsorin Glacier, was known as the Great Reformer. He was responsible some of the great deeds of the second Golden Age of the Snow Elves, most importantly were his reforms to the very structure of the Glacier Empire. First he removed the Glaciers as High Lords of their own kingdom, Helmi Teilti. This was because as king of all five realms, he was busy overseeing the entire empire, leaving little time for him to manage the affairs of a singular kingdom. He also struggled to support his kingdom without the cries of favouritism from his other High Lords. So while he was High King, he raised a local family to the rank of High Lords of Helmi Teilti. He would chose a instead raise the Culverins to the rank of High Lord, then to ensure their loyalty, he married his second son to the daughter of the now High Lord.
He was also responsible for creating the Maril Osto we know today. Every decade Maril Osto was growing in size and with the return of the Varatosh Trading Company, it meant that the capital became once again a hub for the empire in more ways than one. Seeing the destruction of the land it was causing. He first tried to ensure the Kings Council put a stop to it, hwoever, the council put profit over the land and so refused to enact his decree, this would be his first act against the council. He would pass a royal decree, banning the expansion of the city past a specific point, allowing for the city to grow slightly further but not forever. He then put a ban of constructing any settlements without the kings permission, on a 15 mile radius of the city and any request made, he refused.
The side effect of this however, was the rise of towns outside of the city, all could reach the city within a day of travel and so as the city needed to grow, these towns became more important. These would be named Alsorin towns as a way to mock the king, however he would invest in these towns making them an extension of the city.
