Age of Heroes

Era beginning/end

This was the age when the heroes of Londe purged the continent to make it safe for the remnants of civilization to come out of hiding.

Great heroes rose and fell, wielding legendary weapons against the forces of darkness. Dragons and demons alike were eradicated from Londe as armies formed around these living legends and paid the creatures back for all they had done during Dahak's Destruction. When this age ended is a matter of debate among scholars, with some saying its end should be the moment Dahak was defeated and others insisting it continues into the present. There is more consensus regarding when the age started, with all proposals falling within the lifetime of one man. The most common of these are Gallenius' birth, death, first significant achievement, and of course Dahak's Destruction.   I believe the Age of Heroes to have ended during the period when settlements and civilizations started to form as the survivors and descendants began to settle down. I also disagree with the notion that an age should be defined by one man. These dates should be defined by the most significant event which affects the greatest number of people. I will thusly be defining this age as ranging from Dahak's Destruction to the founding of what would become The Kiyoshi Empire.
