Celestials: Gods

To formed species the concept of the Celestials is a bit off. To a Celestial they are simply another species with power exceeding that of others. To everyone else the Celestials are some unattainable god that protects and guides them. In fact any individual that exceeds the perceived notion of a normal existence is just labeled as a god even if they aren't a Celestial at all.

History

The ideas of "Gods" goes as far back as history itself. The Primordials especially remember coming from something and that there are two forces beyond their comprehension out there that made everything possible. Eventually other beings were discovered (or believed to be discovered) and added to a "Pantheon" of gods.

Divine Origins

It is unknown when mortal species began to worship gods as evidence spans farther back than we have current record. It is clear though, that the idea of gods has been passed down from family to family, tribe to tribe growing and solidifying as one collective pantheon.

Worship

Gods are seen and worshiped as protectors or guardians, they are not inherently "responsible" for the way things are but can be thanked for fortune or hated for misfortune. There seems to be a "Good" and "Evil" side to the pantheon, where depending on what you are wishing you would pray to that god/ goddess.

Sects

There are some whom whole hardheartedly believe and some who are more skeptical. There are families who only worship one and some who worship all. Some view them as myth, others notable figures made more significant by time. What is certain though, is overwhelming evidence of beings far outweighing mortal understanding.
