Arc I: Introductions
Session 4: The Spider's Web
Maleris was first encountered at the hideout of Irena's Favored by TBD when they raided the place looking for Zachariah Bramble on their first mission. TBD quickly dispatched of the thieves and spared only Maleris, whom they interrogated for information about the leader of the guild, Zaine Evilian. During the interrogation, Eiros cut off the elf's left ring finger to intimidate him. The group left Maleris tied up (and drunk with Eiros' liquor) next to an injured Zachariah Bramble.Session 5: Against the Storm
After defeating Zaine Evilian and the mysterious Rave Dupree, TBD raced back to return Viktor the Fire Elemental back to the Silvercove Lighthouse. The group opted to split up, with Eiros heading back to the hideout of Irena's Favored. Upon returning, he found no sign of Maleris. Instead, he found a dead Zachariah Bramble dead, and a note that simply read: "Never trust a thief".Arc II: The Scythe of Ordes
Session 11: Call of the Void
Upon closing off the strange rift near Oldwatch, TBD and Lenara were abruptly show by Maleris with poison arrows from out of their sight, immobilizing the group. Elenna and Eiros were knocked unconscious, and Egon was paralyzed. Only Nefrea remained mobile. The group was then introduced to Father Drake Delarosa, the person responsible for the disappearances and strange atmosphere of Oldwatch. Accompanying him was none other than Maleris, who looked significantly different from their last encounter with him. Maleris taunted Eiros' unconscious body before departing with Drake.Session 12: The Obsidian Grove
Maleris fought against TBD during their confrontation with Drake, sustaining only minor damage during the fight. When drake was defeated and opened another right, Maleris seemed shocked and genuinely terrified. Maleris, Lady Tirel Arden, Lenara, and Felps were all left in the ruined church when TBD chased after Egon into The Shadowfell.Arc V: Southspire Secrets
Session 32: A Capital Inquiry
Maleris reappeared again once TBD had reached Southspire. He paid Eiros a brief visit to his room by firing an arrow through an open window. He then taunted the pirate and claimed he could "kill him at any moment" before departing into the night.Session 33: City of Wishes, City of Secrets
While exploring Southspire, TBD saw a poster for a showmatch at The Grudge Pit that showed Maleris and referred to him as "The Poison Blade". The poster had been from the week before.Session 36: The Ballroom Brawl
At the conclusion of TBD's fight against Amara Perceran and Edraele Tariniel, prince Sylas Arden was shot from an unknown assailant. Right after this happened, Eiros saw Maleris on a wall outside one of the windows. The elf gestured to Eiros before wordlessly jumping down and running away.Session 38: The Grudge Pit
TBD observed Maleris fight and kill several oponnents when they went to The Grudge Pit to track him down. Upon spotting the five of them, Maleris challenged them to a match on the stage, to which the party declined. After the fights were over, TBD headed down into the fighter's den to confront him.Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Maleris is a spry and lean elf that always looks like he could lunge at you at any moment. His earrings, smug smile, rings, and tattoos make him stand out pretty quickly.
Body Features
Maleris has a lean body that is covered almost entirely in tattoos of a rather intricate design. There are several scars that can also be found throughout, handed to him through several fights.

A thin face, two large ears each adorned with two gold earrings, and a scar on his left cheek.

Tattoos, black and blue unbuttoned jacket, and polished rapier.
Special abilities
Maleris possesses the ability to reposition himself by dissolving into a pool of murky shadows and then reforming elsewhere. Furthermore, he can create duplicates of himself and craft daggers out of nothing but shadows. He can also remove all natural light within a certain area.
Maleris is also a skilled alchemist, which is why all the poisons he uses are so potent; they are home made and almost impossible to cure by normal means.

Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Maleris is motivated by mostly his own self-interest and greed. He has no allegiance to any kingdom or ideology, but rather offices his services to the highest bidder. After Eiros cuts off his finger, he becomes hellbent on humiliating and killing the pirate.
Virtues & Personality perks
Maleris is a skilled tactician, and is good at formulating plans to overcome his enemies through craftier methods rather than with brute force. He is also pragmatic, and will deal with a situation as it is. He is also an excellent liar.
Vices & Personality flaws
Maleris' pride tends to be his blindspot, as he truly believes himself to be one of the most capable fighters and assassins around. Any challenge to that idea will destabilize him.
