Rivermaster
Overview
A Rivermaster is an elected official who manages the trade and defense of parts of the Canals and River systems within the Atlantean Kingdoms. The position is a position of great authority, so much so that each is actually appointed by the King himself. They often say that the Rivers of the Kingdoms are their arteries.Qualifications
Must have proficiency in ALL Boat and Shipping Non Weapon Proficiencies.
Requirements
The individual should be a Paladin or Cleric in good standing - preferably one of Poseidon. Level should be level 7 or higher.
Appointment
The appointment is made by the King in a Circlet awarding ceremony in which the recipient will receive a circlet crown of gold in the shape of waves.
Duties
They must ensure the safety and security of all river based traffic between (and in some cases up to) a key landmark - normally a tower, or a headland, or in some cases a bridge, and another landmark of note.
Responsibilities
Train all pilots and boatmasters, ensure the up keep of river defenses and infrastructure, delegate and supervise forces for the security of those areas, collect taxes for the King in these areas.
