Overview
The metal called Mithril by the Elves is known by a variety of names, and universally acknowledged for its silvery beauty.
Origins and Source
From: The Ley of Akyris, 100CY :[Apollo] in competition with his twin sister Artemis sought to determine who among them would be the deity of archery. Each proposed to set three arrows against three targets of the other's choosing. Whomsoever won would be the Master of Archery. In the process, Apollo forged pure sunlight into silver arrows - being Truest silver, which the Elves of Artemis called Mithril. With these arrows he won the competition - despite the efforts of his sister. Apollo then permitted the Elves to master Mithril themselves, and they shot beams of it into the the hottest of volcanoes around the earth - producing the veins of Mithril found today.
Magical Effects
It is MAGICAL and cannot be forged normally but requires far higher heat in the forge to refine and heat it. It is rumored Black Forges are the only forges capable of heating mithril to the level needed in order to work the metal.
