Saga of Ages

A select number of tribal societies were given the gifts of knowledge and elevated among their rivals. Thus, the dawn of civilization marked at this era.

The first great war between ancient peoples leaves massive devestation in its wake. Questions and confusion follow in the ashes of this and subsequent conflicts.

The first abyssal gate is formed, and the first wave of true daemons breach the walls between the outer planes and the prime material.

The gods fortify the divine wellsprings, and create the Aiechen to serve as their agents and guardians in Rynn.

Several tribal societies succumb to outsider corruption, and become either implicit agents of chaos, or outright vessels for their dark gods.

A series of strategic losses against the daemonic legion all but ensure a terminal decline of the mortals of Rynn. The Aiechen shift into a defensive posture, and begin plans for a final attempt at liberation.

The Aiechen guardians, along with their most trusted wards, commission the construction of the 'Divine Chambers', a series of fortified and hidden fortresses able to withstand the coming destruction.

In an act of desperation, the Gods unshackle wards that seal the Primordials. Together with the aid of their elemental allies, the Gjinn Primes, the Titans are forged from those and imbued among the Echinder.   The titans, along with their subsequent creations (the Dragons and Leviathans) begin to scourge the world of the alien outsiders, and exposed societies alike.

Rynn enters a mysterious time as apocalyptic conflicts between the Titan lords and the outsiders cycle between periods of intensity and relative calm. After untold centuries, some societies began to re-emerge from their slumber, ready to reclaim their birthright and sovereignty.

A prolonged respite among warring titans and aberrant allows for a sustained resurgence of the Echinder upon Rynn. The forces of Chaos, in their weakened state, are unable to resist the renewed vigor of mortals, and so their fall is foretold.

The Echinder societies are able to establish stable footholds within Rynn again, and are united in their defense of their world. With sustained effort, they beat back the vestiges of aberrant outsiders that the titans were unable to root out.

With the combined help of Aiechen guardians, Echinder wards, and the gods of the Astral Sea, a series of final conflicts are successful in subduing the major outsider antagonists. The result is the Sundering, and the erection of the 'Shroud' - a metaphysical barrier separating the bounded and boundless planes.   For six days - the world waited as the shroud settled, and the torrent of power from beyond the cosmos is brought to rest.

With their mutual enemy nearly defeated, conflict breaks out among different factions of Titans and Dragons regarding their purpose in Rynn, ensnaring many Echinder into violent turbulance.

After several decades, the chaotic alliances of echinder and titans begins to settle, with territories and ideologies hardening into a new status quo.

After millennia of titan sovereignty and embittered conflict, breakthroughs in technology and political alliances break open the stalemates of kingdoms, and usher in a decline of titan rule, and a rise in the sovereignty of echinder in Rynn.

After a generation of relative peace, social disagreements and disputes lead to conflict and conquest. Societies vie for control over land, resources, and cultural influence.

Major achievements in trade, grand artistic project, magnificent engineering projects, and political organization lead to an era of relative peace and prosperity.

The fissures caused by decadent and broken systems rupture leading to new allegiances and rivalries, and shifts in the global balance of power.

Significant discoveries in science and magic create major new opportunities for prosperity and power amongst civilizations worldwide.

Revolutions in technology and knowledge lead to major expansions in communication and trade, laying the foundation for new allegiances and realms of influence.

After several hundred of years of relative peace, the major civilizations of the world are experiencing new strains on their way of life as new political and technological discoveries echo through society. While some embrace these new changes, others retreat to their old superstitions, looking for stability in traditions.
