Jakata
The nation of Jakata is home to the Jakti people, descendents of the Xianlian kingdom to the south. The child king, or Akhmithai [Aa- k – me – tie], of the province of Tiguai rebelled against the Xianlian emperor over 700 years ago. After successfully rebuffing attempts at attempted subjugation over the next 7 generations. For over 150 years, Xianlian attempted to reconquer the Jakati and return them under the rule of Xian, and were met with failure. There were several reasons for these attempts failed; in no particular order: circumstantial weather rebuffing navies, targeted assassinations, supply logistics failures, revolts, disease, internal treachery, and one battle. In short, most of the time, the Xianlian forces were prevented from reclaiming Jakata without military means. The Jakti still regard the Xianlian with wariness, and have fostered strong relationships with other nations for protection. The Jati peoples are an inclusive peoples, and harbor no ill will against foreigners so long as they respect their cultural and religious traditions
