Bael Species in Terra Rynn | World Anvil

Bael

Tieflings are the cursed offspring of several human progenitors known as the High Warlocks. What causes a person to produce a tiefling child as opposed a normal human is poorly understood, though there seems to be a spectrum of traits among the population. A slight change in skin tone or body odor has been observed, up to the growth of horn, tails and darkened pupils.   The most auspicious tieflings also seem to possess the ability to control various magical powers at an instinctual level, including conjuring fire.

Basic Information

Culture and Cultural Heritage

Many tieflings are accustomed to being scorned or displaced from their original homes, and often become wandering nomads in search of more accommodating society. Those few who are accepted by their families often possess unique gifts or traits that balance out their cursed shadow of heritage.
