Dragonfall

Built on a ruin on a large hilltop fortress that got caught in a territorial battle between two dragons who each wanted the treasures within the hill for themselves. The humans of the fortress fought but were low on ammunition because of nightly drow raids from somewhere... One dragon "died," but the other destroyed the town in retribution for their interference.

Aramil rebuilt the town and now it serves as the place of trade before you enter the mountains.
