Welcome to Terra Argos

Upon the coast of a dark green sea, a waterfall rises from the mouth of a river, it's inverted flow ferrying ships of all kinds from the bay below to the metropolis of Dancingwater. Deep within the jutting peaks of a mountain range, the impossibly tall hilt of an upside down hammer reaches to the sky, with the urban sprawl of the city of Hammerfall winding its way up it. In a verdant glade of Huan-Hai's forests, a patrol of orcish horseriders sharpen their arrows, lying in wait for the target of their ambush. Half-hidden beneath ice and snow of Icenvale, the long-forgotten halls of a departed god lie dark, waiting for a soul brave enough to explore them. These are but a few of the mystical and varied locales that make up the world of Terra Argos.

Land of the Gods

Wherever you find yourself on Terra Argos, the fingerprints of deities will not be far at hand. Though the primary gods of the land, known simply as The Twelve , have long since severed their ability to physically manifest in the realm, their creations (and scars) still mark the world, eternal reminders of what came before. From the bisected continent of Malagar, to the powerful Godstones , to the shrines that dot the high mountains of northern Huan-Hai, the influence of the deities is still at the forefront of life in Terra Argos.

The Adventurer's Call

There are many reasons to set foot onto the roads of Terra Argos as a sellsword and adventurer. Many do it for the promise of fame and fortune, that ever-present temptation of gold just waiting to be claimed around the next corner, or the cadre of admirers just waiting for a knight to slay the beast that has tormented their village. For others, it is the hope that they may prove themselves worth in the eyes of The Twelve, and be granted sight of the Severed Sun, the first step towards ascension to the paradise of Chronicle. It may be a more personal reason, such as a quest for a long-lost love, or a wanderlust fueled by a love of the open road. Whatever the reason, adventurers can be found all over Terra Argos, roaming the untamed and magical lands in search of their heart's desire.

The Freeforged Peoples

The people of Terra Argos are as varied as the locales that they inhabit. From the tall and proud Aasimar to the diminitive Halflings, the elegant Elves and the brutish Goliaths, nearly all of the races of the land can trace their origins back to their creation by one of the Twelve long before the Severance. Those good folk who sided with Lanavar in the War of the Sun and Moon are known collectively as the Freeforged peoples, and form the basis of the largest civilizations in the world.
