Current Baron of Torsgard. Her parents were already quitte old when she's born, so she came to power at the young age of 19. Even though she's young, she's well prepared. She has learned with her parents from her 3 years old, and her counselors are competent people, loyal not only to her but to the citizens of Torsgard. Beside, the village is small enough that people can come and talk directly to the baron every day. She knows every one in the village, she makes sure that they're all safe and fed and live a fulfilling life. They may be far away from the Capitol, but they're close to the Church and to its beliefs. Malin is also against the laws of the Capitol. Even though the village benefits from the pay of the soldiers, she has learn from her parents that the Capitol is full of old farts who don't know anything about the local situation and don't care about anything else than the number of active soldiers on the Rampart. She knows they would be very mad if they knew what their soldiers actually do, and she knows she has to be warry of any stranger that could leak those informations. But she has no respect for the Capitol's executives.
Thus, even though she's the one who asked for a Town Witch from the Capitol, she barely trust them and will try her best to test them before revealing anything.
