TotTRB - Episode 1 - Friendship Forged in Forests
General Summary
Three old friends have joined the Company of the Plumdart and together seek out adventure and opportunity. The roguish Alagad Luhan, once valedictorian of Mopo's Academy of Wayward Wizardry and current lockpick and lifter of items unattended. Fern, speaks for the trees quite firmly in fact, a Meudonian elf out of her element in the city. Havoc Windsbreath, a wingfolk from the south, a believer in his own hype and by assumptive truth, a true reflection of the Purifier's light.
Long are they from their youthful days in Thisplacia, far from the colosseum and their favorite gladiators. Now they are hot on the trail of opportunity. A few which have presented themselves. A greeting to Gustav at the Riverboat Supply, an exorcism at a private residence uptown, and a bounty for skins from the local leatherworker, "Pierceman, Guy Pierceman."
But on the way to cross the river, they were drawn in by the comforts of forested travel. There encountered shrubs poisoned by a dark magic into violence. Attacking even the druid within the party before being sorrowfully dispatched. With a great feat of strength the source was uncovered. A dagger cursed by whatever path brought it here was pressed to the ground. It had poisoned the roots here, turning the shrubbery violent. Now removed, the forest can heal. Given time and stewardship.
Trust, even among friends, still needs to be built. Alagad's fingers got the better of their trust, and he pilfered the dagger away, discovering the curse themselves. Their tongue nearly cut out. Unable to speak until it is healed.
