Provenance Settlement in Tense River Basin | World Anvil

Provenance

Welcome to Provenance, a bustling town on the Tense River. The northern bank of the river is overlooked by a humble fortress that serves as the meeting place of The Seated Council, as well as a military barracks for the town. A marketplace stands to the southeast, with a chapel that seems to have become re-purposed as a local watering hole. To the north a temple with flame and feather iconography in the stonework. Looming over the city, a short jog away, there is a massive tree, hundreds of feet tall and thick around as a house, it is an abandoned rookery. At the top where it would look to be a nest, long tendrils of moss dangle down, clearly unkempt.
