Personal history
Born in Yokohama, Japan to a successful businessman, Aito Ishigaki, and his late wife Reiko. At 7, her mom died in a car accident, leaving Aya's father to care for her by himself. Other than that she had a very normal childhood, albeit with no mother, a hired nanny, and a home tutor for most of her formative years. Wanting his daughter to better learn to socialize and become better rounded, Aito sent her to Sakura no Seichō for high school. She didn't like it at first, but then made friends with Nagisa and Hikari. By their 3rd year, Aya and Nagi, who she was closer to, were roommates, with Hikari in a room across the hallway in the dorms.

Outstanding singer of her prefecture. 5 years running. Top rating in singing at her school, and is becoming the school's most popular soloist. President of the Singing club. She even will occasionally write her own songs to sing.
Failures & Embarrassments
Caught on a hidden camera in the bathroom at school. Aya was also caught changing in her dorm room, stolen by yet another well-placed hidden camera. These were then placed up on the school's facebook page at the same time. When her mother died, she actually managed to sneak in before the funeral and crawl into the casket with her mother's body.

Mother's Death at age 7. Being initially sent to boarding school.

Aya loves reading, particularly Fantasy literature. She also picks up new languages somewhat quickly.
