Bussar
Demographics
In the present day, Bussar’s population is solely ethnic Barussa.
Defences
The mudbrick walls of Barussa - long ago revered for their impressive height and depth - were left in ruins after the Sack of Barussa. Numerous gaps had been made during the siege and subsequent storming by the Alliance of Twelve Kings. The remaining sections are crumbling and offer little defensive value.
Industry & Trade
The Barussa mostly live off of subsistence farming. They export a few dates and rolls of cloth down the river once in a while.
Infrastructure
Once a glorious city with magnificent palaces, looming temples, wide avenues, and lush gardens, the city is now little more than a cluster of towns resting among crumbling ruins. While the population is merely a shadow of years past, they have managed to reclaim small sections of the city. Since mudbrick crumbles or is easily demolished, the Barussa clear out modest parts of the former city and build their homes on top of the ruins closest to the nearby river. One of the best-preserved buildings was the temple - now unknown, which of the Barussa gods were worshipped there. Sacrifices are once again performed within its confines.
History
Bussar was founded long ago, back when the bronze was the metal of warfare and kings rode chariots into battle. It was named for the founder, Bussaradi. Throughout the history of the Barussa people (called the Barturi by the Satri), it has remained an important city among their people. Although more often than the capital of their kingdom, other cities have occasionally taken on that role. The city has been sacked only twice in its long history. The first time happened more than one thousand years before the start of the Second Satri Invasion of Diakai.
Geography
A river dominates the city’s western banks. Its banks have shifted east over the centuries, washing away some parts of the city. This change turned out to be a blessing for contemporary residents. Now, they do not need to dig irrigation ditches as far as people were required in the past.

around two thousand years before the founding of the Satri Empire and about one hundred and fifty years before the Second Satri Invasion of Diakai (resettling)
