Xirubo

Xirubo is a humid, tropical continent lying across the Sea of Shards to the southwest of Myas'tara. Most of the continent is a dense rainforest, where tightly-packed trees and fast-flowing rivers make travel and exploration difficult. To the northeast, the Contraband Coast is home to three pirate fleets controlled by the Pirate Lords, based out of the towns of Broadside Bay, Schooner's Sanctum, and Cutlass Cove. The pirates make their living raiding ships crossing from Myas'tara to Beacon and Ziltare. With the advent of air travel, crews have taken to the skies as well as the ocean.
Little is known about the rainforest; the populace on Xirubo is more focused on travel between other continents than understanding their own, and the density of the trees has made it impossible to land from above. The Society of Seekers has had their attempts to enter the rainforest thwarted. Most of the continent has tall cliffs, making an approach by sea difficult, while the north end, where the ground slopes gently down to the sea, is under the control of the pirate lords, who aren't interested in letting others discover the secrets of the land before they do, despite not having an interest in exploring it themselves.
The Contraband Coast is built into the foothills of the Bon'bao Mountains. The Mhosa River begins as a stream flows down the south side of the mountains from the west, winding its way across the rainforest to pour over the cliffs at Mhosa Falls on the east side of Xirubo towards the south, picking up speed as several tributaries join it.
