Broadside Bay

Nestled in a bay in the foothills of the Bon'bao mountains in the northeast side of the Contraband Coast, Broadside Bay is a pirate town unofficially controlled by Renia's Runners. Being the closest settled point to Beacon and Myas'tara on the Contraband Coast, Broadside Bay is the most heavily fortified. The buildings are made of stone, with rounded clay tiles on the roofs. Both sides of the entrance to the harbour contain watchtowers. Up in the hills, the airship docks are also surrounded by watchtowers; heavy weaponry around the town ensures no one foolish enough to approach without authority will get close.
Renia's Mansion, the governor's home, is a lavish building in the hills overlooking the town. The town's source of freshwater is a lake filled by mountain streams, which cascades down in front of the mansion and into the bay. Part of the town is built on stone columns over the water, with the waterfall behind it and the harbour entrance on the other. The highlight for many in the town is the Cerulean Clam, an expansive and rowdy tavern on the docks, with rooftop seating that affords a full view of the waterfall.
