The Mother
In the early days of recorded time on Temshai, the major humanoid races (dwarves, elves, halflings, and humans) all worshiped their own form of a single creator-deity under different names: The Creator, The One, The Mother Of All, The Life-Giver.
During the years of The Assault when the Lizardfolk forced those previously-disparate races together, they came to the belief that they were all worshiping alternate forms of the same being. Calling her The Mother, they worshiped in secret while under lizardfolk rule.
When The Seven Eternals rose up in the year of The Ascension, they claimed to have cast down The Mother. As they also brought freedom from lizardfolk rule, they were readily accepted, with only a small handful clinging to the worship of The One, long considered absent.
As the populace has discovered magic, a gift from The Seven Eternals, and have entered the period of The Awakening, belief in The Mother has been eradicated.
