Mothers Of Invention
No official laws on Temshai yet place any limits on creators, and the uses of inventions are generally permissible as long as they don't otherwise violate local laws. However, many engineers and inventors believe their creations should be regulated and their techniques should be shared. Those who think this way formed the Mothers Of Invention.
The Mothers' base of operations is on Coppercog's Tinkerer's Cog, and it is in Coppercog that they find the most support, though they have members in all of Temshai's major cities. They maintain the Registry Of Inventors, listing all known inventors, regardless of whether or not those inventors are members, and the Catalog Of Modern Engineering, a guide to the public works of inventors.
Ranks
The Mothers of Invention assign ranks in terms of skill and influence within the guild. Entry-level members are assigned the rank of Tinkerer. Subsequent ranks are Experimenter, Innovator, Architect, and Originator, with the final title reserved for the guild master, the High Creator.
