Tiefling

The look in his eyes gave it all away. Verifan's client, despite reaching knowing that he was a Tiefling, still showed some signs of resentment and disgust. He couldnt blame the man though; his ancestors tore through the material plane alongside the demons and devils that almost ended the world. The human man looked at the red-skinned figure with slightly-gritted teeth, his hands straining on the wood of the table. Verifan couldn't help but lean back and chuckle, his power is exactly what this man needed whether the thug liked it or not.
Tieflings are the long-after descendants of those cursed by demonic magic, and it shows. Most Tieflings are easily recognizable by the red, blue, or lavender skin they possess thanks to their heritage, and because of this they are singled out and shunned for what happed to The Athedal Empire . There are even groups who would attack Tieflings on sight, seeing them as signs of bad luck or omens of the arrival of demons.
With this in mind, it would be hard to imagine a Tiefling settling down somewhere unless the area is extremely open-minded. Tiefling adventurers of go out seeking some form of power, gold, or glory; as most other adventurers do. Some gain so much power they even earn the respect and trust of other races just out of power alone.
