Gnome
Though his stature was different, he was welcome in the Imperial capitol for his inventions and trinkets. The children loved his bits and bobbles, and Gazfunk knew that. The parents and older folk however had every right to be skeptical. They had just had a crime spree where a gnome had gone through several stores and cleared out their valuables. Gazfunk knew that too; he kept those items in his basement for the fence.
Gnomes are one of the shorter races in Telnoth, making them more susceptible to sneaking and thievery. However, Gnomes have a knack for inventing as well. They use this to help ease their presence into other societies, as more often than not people give them looks of concern despite their joyous appearance. There is also rumors of a race of gnomes who live in the Rift, who can grow to ginormous size, and work with the Grey Dwarves to enslave other races.
Three core subraces make up Gnomes in Telnoth:
-The aforementioned Deep Gnomes reside deep under the surface of the world, mining ancient ore and selling it the Grey Dwarves. They also capture slaves and use them to mine the tunnels in the deep.
-Rock Gnomes are sturdier than most other gnomes, and they even have a curious nature about inventing things. They can more often that not make trinkets off of memory, and have gifted memories regarding the history of certain magical items.
-Forest Gnomes are the known tricksters who can manipulate minor illusions to distract attackers or unsuspecting victims. They can also communicate with the small critters of the wild, learning information from them and their surroundings.
