Aasimar
The young Chester stood atop the snow-crowned hill, looking over the vast fields of white snow before him. The rest of his adventuring party was getting ready to depart, packing there things to head out from the city of sigils to find that salvage for the professor, and were quite talkative about their plans down in the camp. However, Chester stood alone on the hill; a faint, feminine voice echoed in his ear. The angel who guided him to this party spoke to him of the cultists who raced for the technology as well, and the young Heaven-Blood was out to stop their vile intentions.
Aasimar, or Heaven-Bloods as they are called in certain regions or dialects, are those chosen by The Beacon Gods to perform great deeds in the modern day. When they come of age, a chosen Angelic Guide, often a lesser celestial, will be tasked with helping the Aasimar on their purpose.
There are three distinct paths the Aasimar's life takes once. If it follows the righteous/helpful path layed out by their guide, they stay true to their original nature and keep their white wings. A morally indifferent Aasimar loses their wings, but powerful energy erupts from their body at will. Those who have truly fallen from their guide's instruction have the boney black wings of a betrayer, and command fear from those around them.
Most Aasimar travel for the purpose of their guide, or to run from their purpose. Though few in number, unfallen Aasimar are welcome in almost any society, especially revered by most good-aligned churches. Those who have fallen are tempted by priests for The Dark Towers, and more often than not join their ranks.

Aasimar look human, but often have the extremes of skin color, whether it is a dark brown or light white. Their eyes are slightly dulled as well.
Genetics and Reproduction
Due to the restrictions of the balance of their divine nature, Aasimar are incapable of reproduction. This causes conflict with some of them upon discovery, and turns a portion of them away from the guidance of their angelic hosts.
