The Dark Towers

In the quiet after after the end, thirteen remained. They needed to hold a balance among all they created. The thirteenth god Helm brought forth twelve new structures in his domain below his floating citadel; set equidistant from each other among a flat landmass.
Six of these buildings were dark obsidian towers, meant for their inhabitant's devious intents. Those who resided there had the purpose of being a force of evil, balancing out the good in the world through harming mortals or corrupting those tempted.
