The Jade Ward stands as one of the three prestigious, walled districts within the storied city of Miyako. This revered enclave is home to the majestic Yuan Tower, an iconic auspice that has watched over the city for generations. At the heart of the Jade Ward lies the Imperial Palace, the seat of power for the ruling dynasty, its grandeur and beauty reflecting the majesty of the empire. The Jade Ward's imposing walls and guarded gates protect the sacred and the powerful, creating a sanctum of privilege and tradition within the bustling metropolis.

Traditionally, residency within the esteemed Jade Ward is strictly reserved for the Imperial Family and a select few who have earned the utmost trust and privilege. This exclusive group includes the loyal courtiers and servants who attend to the Imperial Family's personal needs, as well as the revered Caretakers of Yuan Tower, the sacred Bellmaidens, and the venerable Chief Abbot of the Imperial Court. These distinguished individuals are the only ones permitted to share the Imperial Family's sacred space, and even they are bound by strict protocols and traditions that govern life within the Jade Ward's hallowed walls.

The Jade Ward is also home to three serene gardens, each a tranquil oasis within the bustling imperial precincts. One of these gardens lies nestled near the revered Yuan Spring, its crystal-clear waters flowing gently beside the majestic Yuan Tower. Amidst the garden's carefully manicured beauty, a small, unassuming abode blends harmoniously into the surroundings. This modest residence is the humble home of the Bellmaidens, the devoted attendants of the Yuan Tower's sacred bell, who tend to their sacred duties with quiet dedication.

Within the Jade Ward stands the esteemed Dignitary House, a specially designated residence designed to provide luxurious accommodations for foreign dignitaries and honored Shoguns who travel from afar to pay their respects to the Imperial Family. Normally, this grand estate would be abuzz with the comings and goings of esteemed guests, but of late, it has stood eerily vacant. A noticeable chill has settled over the Dignitary House, as it has been closed to foreign visitors, casting a pall of uncertainty over the ward. Moreover, residents have begun to whisper among themselves that even visiting Shoguns, once frequent guests, have become scarce, their absence fueling speculation and concern about the shifting political landscape within the Imperial Court.

Near the Imperial Barracks stands an esteemed martial arts hall, where the empire's finest warriors hone their skills and discipline. On the opposite side of the ward, parallel to the barracks, lie the humble servant quarters, where the diligent attendants and servants who tend to the Imperial Family's needs reside.

To the east side of the palace lies the Imperial Archives. To the west side of the palace is the elegant Courtesan Hall, a refined and beautiful complex where the imperial court's most talented and charming courtesans reside. Yuan Tower, its spring and gardens are nearest the walls. Across from Yuan Tower, stands the Imperial Temple, overseen by the venerable Chief Abbot.
