Brawn
Brawn
The Brawn Attribute embodies your character's raw physical power, determining their capacity to lift, carry, and move objects. It's a measure of their brute strength, unadulterated and unrelenting.
In practical terms, Brawn influences your character's ability to:
- Lift and carry heavy objects
- Provide resistance against a spell or ability that tries to move you by force
- Overpower opponents or obstacles through
- Perform physically demanding tasks
Lift & Lug
This table provides a clear guideline for determining your character's lifting and carrying capabilities based on their Brawn Attribute score. By referencing this table, you can ascertain the maximum weight your character can lift or carry without incurring penalties. For example, if your character has a Brawn score of 8, they can lift or carry up to x kg (x lbs) without any issues. However, attempting to lift or carry more than this weight would incur penalties, affecting their performance. By utilizing this table, you can add depth and realism to your character's physical interactions, making their experiences more immersive and engaging.

Resistance
In situations where physical force or manipulation is at play, the Brawn save becomes a vital test of your character's physical resilience and determination. When the Director calls for a Brawn save, your character must rely on their physical strength, toughness, and resolve to withstand the external force.
As outlined, a Brawn save may be necessary to:
- Control or resist a grapple: Break free from restraint or maintain control over an opponent.
- Resist being forcibly moved: Stand firm against attempts to push, pull, or throw.
- Resist being knocked prone: Maintain balance and footing in the face of impact or assault.
- Resist being crushed by a creature: Endure the pressure and weight of a powerful entity.
The outcome of a Brawn save is not simply a binary success or failure, but rather a nuanced spectrum of results. The margin by which your character succeeds or fails in their save determines the extent of the consequences.
A narrow margin of success might result in:
- Partial resistance to the effect
- Reduced impact or severity
- Temporary stability before further challenges arise
Conversely, a significant margin of failure could lead to:
- Severe consequences, such as injury or incapacitation
- Loss of control or agency
- Vulnerability to further exploitation or attack.
Critical successes and failures, as mentioned, will be explored in Chapter X, along with optional rules for additional effects. These rules will provide Directors with the flexibility to add layers of complexity and excitement to the game, rewarding players for exceptional performances or imposing harsher penalties for catastrophic failures.
To determine you Brawn save, it is your Brawn score plus your level of efficiency you are trained on it in.
