Waycabin Wainwright Dell Building / Landmark in Tellus | World Anvil

Waycabin Wainwright Dell

The 7th stop on the Greynor Leg, Wainwright Dell was at one point in its history the biggest producer of wagons, carts, traps, chariots, and Connies.   Reggae music is a constant background feature here at Wainwright, so it ain't all bad!

Purpose / Function

For the ease and succour of the TPLC™ staff, passengers, and crew.

Design

A truss-built structure, with an upstairs kitchen that serves the lower levels via dumbwaiter. It is aligned 'just-so' with the moons and stars.

Entries

The doors are all solid wood, and coffered, but hardly ever locked.

Denizens

The full time staff here are like camp counsellors gone bad, and the TPLC™ has been unable to figure out why. They have sent many a steadfast 'warden'; women and men known to be paragons of virtue and restraint have thrown it all away, as it were, and joined the hippies in the staff ranks.

Hazards & Traps

The well water is affected by a local frog that releases a toxin that mimics the effects of a Philter of Love; the staff here are seriouosly friendly with each other and the rest of their polycule. Combine this with the local prevalence of cannabis, and the wealth of freak flags flying around Wainwright Dell is instantly explained. Most passengers are drinking water from the cold machines on the boat they are travelling on, or alcohol and mixers from the well-stocked bar. They are never affected to any great extent! But the attitude of the people working at the location is super relaxed and chill, man.   Relaaaaaax, dude!

Special Properties

The crysalis frog only grows around this area, and the people round here are famous for being a little more randy than the typical stereotypes.

Alterations

It was built anew for Lydia Hartunian herself, and to her specifications as well.   The previous building burned to the ground the year before; just before Lydia Hartunian put in a bid for the entire property.

Architecture

It is a new-fangled pre-fab contraption, designed and commissioned by Lydia Hartunian herself.

History

This was once the site of a bustling family homestead, but it burnt down in 5425 unfortunately.

Tourism

The building is basically a 'rest stop' along the luxury journey.
