Session 2 Report: Upon Reflection...
General Summary
This evening's gameplay saw our intrepid adventurers cleared of murder by the cryptic Lady Emma Donna, who then escorted them to her office in Greynor's Smith Quartieri. There are street food vendors everywhere one turns, there are canals and boats and bridges. It is loud, it is busy and dusty, and it smells fucking fantastic.
After an interesting hour perusing ancient manusripts and long forgotten maps, they left Lady Em's and decided to stop for a bite, only to realize Liliana had had her money pouch stolen. Being mainly oblivious to children, Liliana missed the waif that blanched white and sped off. But Forge Shadow Ironbound did not! Desperate to get her money back, Liliana let loose with a firebolt...but the kid zigged. She let loose with another, but he zagged! So Shadow did the only sensible thing, and shot him in the foot, pinning the poor waif to the road.
He was livid, tearing into Shadow with a ferocious roasting mainly reserved for the navy or higher education. Arms akimbo, he lambasted them as barbaric. It must have worked, because they left. He must have scared them away!
Making it to the ship and their quarters thereon, they set sail, making good time in beautiful weather so far. Then suddenly, on a night that the moon was full to bursting, they met...themselves. Mirror images of their ship, and themselves. Careening directly toward each other, bow to bow, the captain had the wheel hard over, yet they kept at each other directly. The crushing impact damaged both ships' rams, and they turned for another sortie. It was then that Shadow had the idea that it was perhaps opposite day...and they steered directly toward the attacking ship. Slipping through each other, the adventurer's ship suddenly slowed to a halt, totally becalmed on a glass-smooth sea. Liliana Idril noticed an older lady chatting with Mind Spike Mike, the sailor who had assisted Shadow with his opposite day theorem. They discovered her name was Aglethal, and she was one of the most wonderful creatures Liliana had ever set eyes upon. Deciding to make Aglethal happy, they decided to take her to her private island nearby, and enjoy the party. The next morning, however, Liliana was back to her old self. Shadow, however, was not! And when Aglethal showed up and summoned him, Shadow went running to her.
And that is where we ended the session!
