One of the most gifted engineers in a generation, Carroll has been designing and building horseless carriages since he was a youth. Raised on the premises of the famous Headship Nautical Construction Company, Carroll's father is a master shipwright. His mother is a master smith, who makes fittings for the famously hard-to-sink vessels.
