Biography
Early Life Anson Fysis was born on the 2nd of Cehr, in the year 958, to Jerritt and Fiona Fysis in the town of Cranebridge. At the time, Cranebridge was just a fledgling town, and many people had to rely on the land for sustenance. The farms were blighted, and trade with the bigger cities was difficult. It was considered a miracle that Anson even survived the harsh winter at all. Growing Up While Anson’s birth and survival were something to be pleased with, not all was well in the Fysis household. The blight that had cursed the land had reached a handful of people from the town itself. Within five years, both of Anson’s parents passed away from an illness that even clerics from Viscosa could not heal. Left alone, Anson spent a brief while in the capital city of Raleigh before word reached his mother’s nephew, Stephen Caista. For several years, Anson spent time with Stephen and his brother Zachariah, who were just beginning a new life in the city of Atalatha. Before long though, Anson was gathered up by an uncle from his father’s side, a man named Kiel Fysis. Kiel believed that it was not only his duty to take Anson in from the Caistas, but also his right. He brought him home to his farm, and it was the last Anson would see of his cousins for some time. Bardsong – Dirges and Hymns After Kiel brought Anson to his home in eastern Raleigh, the boy was briefly meant to feel he had a family again. After Kiel’s wife, Sasha, passed away however, he took to drinking, and forced Anson into back-breaking labor. Anson was severely mistreated by his uncle, who became an atrocious alcoholic. One of the things that the boy learned to placate the monster of a man was song. He honed his voice and learned how to play the lyre in an effort to make his time with Kiel more tolerable. Freedom When Anson was seventeen years old, Kiel passed away, and much to his initial dismay, found that his uncle did not leave the farm to him. After a time though, he determined that it was truly a liberation. He took his lyre, and set out into the wilderness. A Tale of Tellest Despite his reserved nature, Anson became fairly well traveled. He saw a good deal of Draconis, traveling to the far ends of Daltain, Cracius and many places in between.
