Forrora Ethnicity in Telarul | World Anvil

Forrora

Forrora gnomes, or "land gnomes" as they are sometimes called, are generally considered to be the original gnomes that the other gnomish ethnicities branched off of. This is reflected in their name: "forro" in gnomish means "motherland" or "homeland", the name "Forrora" could be considered to mean: "Those from the motherland".

Three Dimensional Communities

A typical Forroran rural village is built both in, on, and above the ground. Some families will have a burow home, while others have theirs on stilts several feet above the ground. The local environment changes which locations are favoured. In a spot with easily diggeable soil most homes will be underground, rocky areas see more surface dwellings, while swamp villages feature more of the raised variety.   Furroran cities follow the same rules, but on a grander scale. The lower "buildings" are located far beneath the earth, while the highest can be located hundreds of feet above the ground.
