Aumfae

The Aumfae is a mysterious 10 metre orb that has floated at the centre of Saltdale since written memory. According to legend, it was there even before the first settlers entered the region. It's bright rotating light acts as a permanent lighthouse for the city.
It is a target of study for many wizards. Their experiments sometimes cause short term negative side-effects in the region, but so far nothing has caused any long-term disturbance in the orb.
