Humanity thrived on the Helm, making technological discoveries that their ancestors could only dream of. There was peace and prosperity upon the Helm even if those tenants were balanced precariously upon the will of an Orb.
The City of Aethos was founded by Aranys as a sanctuary against the monstrous and wild nature of the mortal plane. It was the first settlement built outside of Faldur on the continent of Atala since the construction of the Helm. It was originally built in the desert and magically enhanced to grow food and produce water.
The Heroes of Old were monumental figures in the history of Telamoria. Their feats included: defeating the dragon goddess attacking the Helm, protecting the material plane from the invasion of Mikal Telius, found many of the cities of Telion, creating the moon and save the Dwarven people from extinction. History has forgotten most of their names but their legacies will always be remembered. Quilynn Dawntracker Thror Stoneblood Oleander Corrus Kell Brightsteel Glint
Upon his death, Aranys left control of the City of Aethos to one of his friends and allies, Quilynn Dawntracker. In her tenure, Quilynn would ensure that Aethos survived the greatest war in its history, relocate with no casualties and build it into a major metropolis, the first of its kind on Atala.
For the first time since the creation of the helm and under the leadership of Mikal Telius, the humans and moon elves of the helm would return to the material plane. Their goal was simple: retake the land that was lost from both the monstrosities would dwelled there as well as the residents who did not bend the knee. The nation's of Yareene and Faldur, as well as the free city of Aethos did not bend the knee and fought against the forces of Mikal. The war only ended after Quilynn Dawntracker single handedly defeated over 90% of the Helm army using magic that has not been seen since.
After Mikal Telius' forces invaded the city of Aethos, ally of Quillyn and powerful artifier Kell Brightsteel relocated the city to save it from occupation. Kell was able to harness the orb powering the magical defenses of the city to teleport almost 70% of the foundation and all of the residents to this new location.
The Fall of the Helm is often considered the foundational moment in the history of Atala. The Helm collapsed after its power orbs lost their magical potence during an apocalyptical battle between a dragon god and the Heroes of Old. The Heores ultimately defeated the God but were unable to save the Helm. It is estimated that over 90% of the population of the Telian Empire died in this cataclysmic event and that it culturally and scientifically put the empire back thousands of years.
The First Goblin Invasion represented the first attempt by a united Goblin and Orc Army to invade the continent of Atala since the collapse of the Goblinoid Empire. The Great Goblin army had spent years developing a fleet that they could use to make a coordinated attack on the Telion Empire. They made landfall at Colkurk but were repelled by Martellus and Vladimir decapitating their leadership. The disparate tribes would scatter with the Orcs banding together into the Burkhany Jad and the Goblins retreating to regroup.
The Second Great Goblin Invasion was the result of almost 65 years of planning. After the failure of the first invasion, the goblinoid peoples devised a plan to invade the Northern part of Atala, North of the Broken Crown as they devised it would be difficult for Telion to mount a proper defense. The strategy paid off with the Goblin tribes capturing all of the land north of the Crown to create their new nation. After heavy losses, the Arcsenator decided to grant the land formerly to the Goblins, which led to the creation of Gak Bashk.
