Responsibilities
Lead Investigations:
The Master Investigator is in charge of overseeing and leading major investigations that go beyond the scope of regular street-level policing. These could include cases involving organized crime, political intrigue, and other complex criminal activities.
Analytical Expertise:
The Master Investigator possesses exceptional analytical skills, capable of piecing together evidence, identifying patterns, and uncovering hidden connections in order to solve intricate puzzles.
Coordination:
They work closely with the other divisions of the City Watch, including the Patrol Division and Civic Protection Division, to gather information and collaborate on cases that may have far-reaching implications.
Resource Allocation:
The Master Investigator allocates resources such as skilled investigators, forensic experts, and magical assistance to different cases, ensuring that each investigation has the necessary tools to progress effectively.
Reporting:
They provide regular updates to the High Warden, offering insights into ongoing investigations and suggesting strategies to address challenges.
Mentorship: The Master Investigator might also serve as a mentor to younger detectives, sharing their knowledge and teaching the art of investigation.
