Marks

A magical curse or ailment, usually doled out by the gods, Marks are manifestations of a direction connection with magic. They grant the Marked individual almost unlimited access to a branch of magical effects - usually quite a limited selection, but there have been some broad ones in the past - at the cost of major inconvenience to their everyday existence.
