My friendship with Milton feels like it's in a very dangerous place. He's so angry that I'm goin back to the dive platform. I've had a few talks with him that felt normal but then last night we went out to a film premier. During the after party, Milton heard some one comment that they'd seen me at the regional championships and hoped I'd dive again. I said I hoped I would and then Milton walked away. I didn't see him again for hours.
I did meet the star of the film. He played the really great, love-stuck teenager. I'm not fluent in French, I'll get there, but I could get the basics of the story. His name is Rene Baptiste. We ended up talking about the craft of performance for several hours. He seemed to understand what it's like to have to be hidden form public view while standing in the spotlight.
It also helps his career that he's extremely attractive.
After several hours, Milton finally returned, visibly inebriated. I'm at a loss of what to do to save our friendship.
