In my 24 years, I've never been this late to Sandringham. I have my American trip and the fat slob in Washington to thank for that. But I'm Here now and I'm so ready for Christmas. I was surprised to find Milton here when I arrived and I'm sorry to see that his companion isn't with him. Perhaps whatever was happening between them has run its course.

It does give me the chance to ask him about his mission in South America and it's very strange timing. I really hope he'll give me an honest answer and I hope it's not what I suspect.

The snow this year here at Sandringham is quite light this year. Gran is very excited about being able to actually have Christmas morning at church this year.

René was supposed to be joining on the 27th but I got a call from him this morning that he's elected to stay with his own family this year. I'm not bitter about it. Really, I'm not. Surely that's a better invitation than one from THE BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY!

Really, I'm not bitter.

I'm really rather excited about the annual gift exchange tis year. I was able to have a dress made for Annie from a fabric she had spent a good deal of time admiring in New Zealand.

Naturally and almost customarily I'm very excited and anxious about the New Years Eve ball. Without fail, some young woman will try to shamelessly flirt with me.

God, I just wish I could tell them all that they do nothing for me.

Grandpapa and his weasley lackey would have a stroke.
