Marble Palace

Purpose / Function

The purpose of the Marble Palace is to serve as Chancellor Vatorum 's seat of power in Everweld. It stands above all other buildings (with the exception of the Cthonic Colleges). Built out of marble seized from the rebellious mining towns to the north of Everweld, this building is a statement not just of the city's prosperity under Vatorum, but of his endearing control.

Alterations

The Palace began construction in the year 1007 AHL and was finished in 1022. The Palace itself has undergone no noticeable changes in this time, although the fortifications and defenses have been shifted with the changing technology or thaumaturgy.

Architecture

The Palace is a seat of government first and a fortress second. The interiors are made from darkwood and the exterior a bright, eerily clear marble. It's turrets cover a concentric design, and it covers the center of Everweld, roughly 400m along its radius.
