Otti

Otti is a sentient, giant wolf that appears frequently among the Nordergott. Otti, often called 'The Dread Wolf', once hunted down the mortal races with joy. It was this unending hunt that caused Hangatyr to take action against Otti. 
Otti could not be killed by the other gods, primarily because his existence was necessary to cull pestilent entities throughout the Aetheric Pathways. Otti viewed the hunt of mortal kind as a valid exchange for his role. Hangatyr thought to eliminate the need for The Dread Wolf while also preserving the lives of mortals, and so conceived his own sacrifice for the Material Plane. Viewing this as a blatant betrayal, Otti vowed to devour his corpse one way, and all mortalkind with it. 
The power of The Dread Wolf is unquestionable. Mortals will occasionally pay homage to Otti in order to gain dark power, and a chance to avoid being devoured with the plane itself.
