Mountain Ainok

The ainok that dwell in the Qal Sisma Mountains look not unlike large mastiff hounds. Like their desert kin these are the original inhabitants of their environment. Especially trusted ainok join a family of the clan. They are considered to be family members and enjoy all the rights (and assume all the responsibility) that role entails.
Genetic Ancestor(s)
Conservation Status
The mountain dwelling ainok are scarce now, being almost as favored by Atarka's dragons for food as bears are. They will sometimes hunt alongside the humans, quickly grabbing a share of the meat and scatter to their dens before the dragons can notice and catch them.
