In a show of publicity, including a proclamation to every monarch in Tarien (sent it triplicate), the Nerrid Alliance officially shutters the Nerrid Secret Service. They note that in these difficult times, Nerrid has chosen to focus on Nerrid, rather than the affairs of the rest of the world. Most nation-states ignore the proclamation, declaring it irrelevant or an outright lie.
