Yuletide
Unlike the other festivals, Yuletide is not one of communal celebration. Instead, Yuletide is time that people spend with their immediate families to give thanks for the year that has passed, and ask for blessings in the coming year. Heads of households hold vigils for loved ones who have passed to the next life, often lighting candles in their remembrance. Temples hold services in honor of their respective gods , and often have their congregations spill beyond the pews, into the aisles, and in some places, even into the streets. The day typically ends with a small family meal, traditionally of duck or goose.
