Reynard
Playwright
Most famous of all playwrights in Tarien. Beginning with the publication and production of The Tragedy of Princess Leonia, Reynard produced seventy-two plays of varying lengths, complexity, and genres. While many played to the rough audience's of his day, with bawdy jokes and base subject that masses of his native Phelandria adored, he also interwove complex themes into his narratives that reflected the society of his day. His diverse tales ranged from those of princess and dragons, rogues and scullions, and even faeries and demons. At their core, however, scholars agree that his plays are about human nature, finding comedy and tragedy in the lives of both the famous and everyday.
