Lexicar the Loremaster

Now into his later years, Lexicar walks with a slight hunch, making him look even shorter than he really is. Big bushy eyebrows that match his big bushy mustache have both faded to gray and the once thick hair on his had has thinned to reveal a pate that always seems to shine with a slightly reddish tinge. Despite his years, he has not lost any of his wits. His students will also be quick to mention his biting sarcasm that comes out to parry ill-formed thoughts that they might have.
Equally at home in front of a class, in the library, or seated at a fine dinner with the imperial court, Lexicar knows perhaps more than anyone alive about the history of Tarien. And while some of his ideas may seem shocking - such as his notion that we are not better off with magic as expounded in Into the Darkness - there are few who would turn down the opportunity to listen to his stories. For that, in is humble opinion, is the beauty of history. It is filled with stories both tragic and glorious. And at their center, he will remind his students (be they at the University or a local bar for he is always teaching) are people with all of their honor, faults, surprises, and emotions. They are, he would say, no different than you and me.
