Of the many brightly colored mushrooms found in the tunnels of the Underground Kingdom of the Children of Kharl, none has been as transformative as the Jardine. Now domesticated in huge caverns, these blue and brown mushrooms quickly grow to amazing sizes, some as much as three feet across. Though generally bland, their dense flesh is packed with nutrients, fills Khadric, and picks up other flavors easily. Now a staple crop amongst the Khadra, they are also dried for export to Human lands for use by travelers.

Lightweight Rations

Jardine mushrooms are prized by travelers because of their weight. While most trail food is bland and heavy, these mushrooms weigh very little when dried and, when reconstituted with water, pick up almost any flavoring available. Jardine and Onion soup is a favorite of caravanners across Tarien.

While hard to find, Jardine Mushrooms weigh a quarter of the amount of equivalent rations.
