It was by popular vote - after several days of discussion - that Han assumed the title of a lord in the fledgling city of Geyla. The only reason that the people of the city even sought out a leader was that some farms had sprung up more than a half-day's ride from the city and it was impossible to house and feed everyone in the region when it came time to make important decisions. It was, perhaps, presumptuous for Han to assume the title of King after the election - the public mandate had not been so grand. He kept the populace in his heart as he ruled and when he died it seemed natural that his son would continue on in the role, thus beginning the oldest of human nations.
