The Fianna

The Fianna is a military order that is answerable only to the Ard Ri. The were founded in a time where the commoner needed someone to rise to their defense and aid. The tend to act rather openly, only going covert when they need to gather information.   The Organization has been targeted several times, and many attempts to dismantle it have been made. However, since the identities of its leaders are kept secret, even from its own members, it has been difficult to quash the Fianna in its entirety, leading to it always rising from the ashes. The Fianna aim to keep barracks in every settlement no matter how small, as to better protect the common people. And only get involved in the more mundane activities when requested by the local guard. When there is no Ard Ri, the Fianna have been known to turn towards mercenary practices in order to maintain funding for the standard upkeep, but never turn their backs on the code that acts as the order's moral compass.   Motto. The Fianna have three mottos by which they modeled their behavior.
