Sifr
Devil of Ozhar
Sifr is a deific entity or devil of multiple religions, mainly associated with Theism. He also later became a major deity of Avenism and is also featured The Sanunian Devotion, though as more of a philosophical ideal.
Sifr is often associated with chaos, Black Magic, and darkness. Although nefarious, Sifr is not intrinsically evil, and is thought instead to balance out forces of good, which could not, theoretically, exist without contrast. In this way, he is viewed as a sort of necessary evil.
In Sanunianism, Sifr is represented by ozhar, the number zero in Sandwind.
In mythology, Sifr is depicted as Vashorn - ascribed as being the first of that species to ever exist. Of the ten Old Gods, Sifr was the only one shut out of the Deific Plane - forbidden from ever setting foot there. This resulted in much warfare between Sifr and the other gods and goddesses, which neither side won. Sifr then broke into the outer dimensions and claimed the Hollows, or the Void spaces, as his own.
Like Sifr himself, the Void is characterized as being space outside of space, everywhere and nowhere, dark and empty but integral to the structure of the universe. Sifr immediately loved the Void and relished finally possessing a place of his own, where he belonged, that was also vastly powerful. Eventually other gods, especially Septavan, would choose to leave the Deific Plane in favor of the Void.
Sifr is particularly an enemy of the goddess Ava.
