The Sanunian Devotion

The Sanunian Devotion is a religion or belief system based upon numbers and their corresponding deities.
One of the world's old religions, it developed in the Ancient Era Era, though it was all but forgotten in the Middle Age. During the Age of the Sun, it saw a major resurgence.
Sanunism involves multiple layers of complexity, to depths that many of its followers are not even aware. It is commonly accepted that followers of this religion will do so at greatly varying degrees.
Some individuals may simply consider certain numbers lucky, or ill-fated. And a great many people believe that the numbers of their birth dates hold power and meaning - a part of Sanunism called Avenism - very commonly believed in, even by those who would not consider themselves a part of the religion.
Those who worship non-Avenistic deities are those who would consider themselves true Sanunian devotees. Within such circles, followers may take their devotion and belief in numbers, and the ways that they affect the world around them, to either scant or extensive measures.
