Steam engines are a newer invention. They are similar to our real-world counterparts, using large boilers with a fire to heat water and use steam to do work. The most common usage for steam engines is for trains. Efficiency for steam engines can be increased by using Blood Stone or Power Stones . Wood and coal are the most common fuel to use.
While steam trains can be made into magitech vehicles many are not, as low and no-magic zones would cause the device to fail. These trains are slower and smokier than their magitech counterparts but are more reliable.
